Product

Lihok Tactica

An intelligent project planning and control platform, in progress — being built on Lihok's project-controls foundation, with Lihok Intelligence as the direction. It is not offered for use.

In progress

Project planners, project controls specialists, and the delivery and engineering teams accountable for schedule performance.

In progress

Development is ongoing. Tactica is not offered for use.

What follows distinguishes two things that are easy to blur: a project-controls foundation that already exists, and the product being built on it, which does not.

In plain terms

Software being developed to help teams plan projects, track schedules and understand what is changing. The scheduling foundation underneath it already exists; the finished product does not, and it is not offered for use. The AI that would run inside it is a direction we are working toward, not something that works today.

Shared foundation

Lihok Tactica · In progress

Designed to draw on Lihok Intelligence

Designed to draw on knowledge and reasoning capabilities — project knowledge, planning intelligence and analysis of what moved. Its project-controls foundation already exists; the intelligence integration is direction rather than implementation.

  • Knowledge
  • Reasoning

This is architecture rather than a delivered integration. What a product may actually draw on is decided per request — by the product, the organisation, the person, their permissions and the governance in force — and by what has been built.

How the shared layer works

An intelligent project planning and control platform.

A plan is only as useful as its grip on what is actually happening.

Project plans are only useful while they still match reality. Schedules slip, baselines drift, and the people accountable for delivery often learn what changed long after it changed. Tactica is being built to keep a project's schedule and its controls legible, and to bring governed intelligence to understanding what moved.

Tactica is in progress. The project-controls foundation it is being built on already exists and is set out below. The intelligence that would make it a Lihok product is direction rather than implementation, and this page labels it that way rather than letting a convincing layout decide the question.

We publish Tactica at the stage it has actually reached — a foundation built, an intelligence integration not yet built — rather than at the stage a product page would prefer.

Capabilities

The foundation that exists — and the intelligence that does not.

The left column is project-controls foundation work already developed. The right column is direction: none of it is built, and none of it is available.

Foundation already built

  • CPM scheduling

A critical-path scheduling engine that runs a forward pass and a backward pass over a network of activities. This is project-controls foundation work that Tactica is being built on — it is not a finished Tactica product.

  • Float and the critical path

Total float and free float are computed per activity, and the critical path is identified from them. Foundation capability that exists in the scheduling engine, not yet a Tactica product you can use.

  • Dependencies with lag

Finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish and start-to-finish relationships, each with lag. Implemented in the foundation's scheduling model — part of what Tactica is being built on, rather than something Tactica already offers.

  • Working-day calendars

Multi-calendar working-day arithmetic, including dated calendar exceptions such as holidays and one-off non-working periods. This is foundation work in the scheduling engine; on its own it is not a Tactica product.

  • WBS, activity grid, timeline and progress

A work-breakdown structure, an activity grid for editing and for entering progress against a project Data Date, and a timeline view of the same schedule. The foundation's planning surface, developed as part of the project-controls engine rather than as a shipped product.

  • Baselines, variance and change history

Baseline capture and comparison producing schedule and duration variance per activity, detection of a stale schedule from audited change, and revision and collaboration mechanisms. All foundation work that exists in the project-controls implementation, and none of it a released Tactica product.

Not available yet

  • Integration with Lihok Intelligence

Under development as direction, not implementation. Tactica is intended to run on Lihok Intelligence — the governed intelligence, authority model and evidence machinery our products are being built on. None of that runs inside Tactica today, and we are not going to imply otherwise.

  • Intelligent understanding of schedule changes

Intended, not built. The aim is for the intelligence layer to understand what moved in a schedule and what it means for the plan, working from the schedule's own computed facts rather than from a summary of them.

  • Evidence-grounded schedule analysis

Intended, not built. Any analysis is meant to carry the schedule facts it derives from, in the same way the rest of our work is meant to end in evidence rather than in a claim.

  • Variance and change explanation

Intended, not built. Baseline comparison already produces per-activity schedule and duration variance; the direction is an explanation of what changed, what it implies for the critical path, and what deserves a decision. That explanation does not exist yet.

  • Risk and constraint awareness

Direction only, and explicitly bounded by what the engine can support. Constraints are not implemented and negative float is not reported, so risk awareness may not be presented as constraint handling or as slip detection until those exist. It is not available, and no date is promised for it.

  • Governed recommendations

Intended, not built. A recommendation would carry the schedule facts it derives from and the reasoning path that produced it, and would be something a planner reviews rather than something the system asserts.

  • Approval-gated actions

Intended, not built. Anything consequential that would write to a plan is intended to stop for human approval first, under our authority model. No such action path exists in Tactica today.

What Tactica is not, yet

Tactica is in progress. It is not a released product, it is not offered for use, and no operational Lihok Intelligence runs inside it today — that integration is direction, not implementation. What exists today is a project-controls foundation: scheduling, calendars, baselines and statusing. Everything else described here is work still to be done, and we would rather you read it that way than discover it later.

Where Tactica is

In progress, and not offered for use.

Development is ongoing and there is no release date to give. Tactica is not offered for use, and no operational Lihok Intelligence runs inside it. We list it here because it is part of the portfolio, and because saying where it stands is more useful to you than an invitation we could not honour.
